About

McPhee Consulting helps people-centred organisations turn learning and workforce support into stronger everyday practice. By combining operational leadership experience, workforce development expertise and skilled facilitation, we support people to navigate complexity, strengthen professional judgement and sustain meaningful change.

Experience and Expertise

Our foundation includes tertiary qualifications in psychology, counselling and social work, together with professional experience across crisis support, disaster management, suicide prevention, workforce development and other human services fields. This combination helps us work thoughtfully with complex and sensitive subject matter while keeping learning practical, relevant and grounded in workplace realities.

We also bring extensive expertise in learning and assessment design, development and delivery across workplace, vocational education and postgraduate academic settings, together with experience building and supporting services, programs and teams across local, statewide and national contexts.

Our Approach

Every engagement begins with what the organisation is trying to achieve and the realities facing its people. We tailor the mix of workshops, facilitated conversations, leadership support, group learning and feedback to the context, priorities and stage of change.

Rather than treating learning as a one-off event, we help organisations reinforce and apply it through leadership, collaboration and follow-through. Our style is practical, strengths-based and evidence-informed, with enough structure to support progress and enough flexibility to respond as needs emerge.

Depending on the engagement, organisations may draw on our experience in:

  • Leadership development

  • Communication and relationship building

  • Challenging conversations

  • Psychological safety

  • Workplace wellbeing and self-care

  • Values-based practice

  • Culture, inclusion and belonging

  • Peer support

  • Grief and loss

  • Domestic and family violence

  • Mental health and suicide prevention

  • Human services practice

Outcomes and Evaluation

We agree with clients on what progress would look like in their context. Participant and client feedback then helps us understand what is changing, refine the approach as needs emerge and assess how learning is being applied in everyday work.
